• internal cage provide internal support for the conveyor around the sprocket
• finders can be located at every second tooth or every tooth
• sprockets are commonly split to allow easy attachment to drive shaft
• bosses attached to the outside of the sprocket
• bosses can be permanently attached via weld or temporarily via bolting
• bore to centre of sprocket is based on equipment in use
• teeth are spaced in correspondents with conveyor pitch.
